The national issue has specific historical context. For contemporary Russia, the determination of the national issue and orientation of the government’s policy are crucial. There is a need to upgrade public administration in order to stabilize national and federative relations – the social and political basis of strengthening the Russian statehood, ensuring national security.

REGIONAL SPECIFICS OF INTERETHNIC RELATIONS IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION (by the example of the Republic of Buryatia)

The article is dedicated to the analysis of the development of the Buryat people within the Russian state, and mutual influence and mutual enrichment of cultures. On the contemporary state, a growth in national self-consciousness of Buryat people can be seen, and this is being taken into account in national policy pursued by the ruling bodies of Buryatia.

SOME SPECIFICS OF TRANSFORMATIONS OF FORMER SOVIET REPUBLICS

In the past 10 years, a wave of “colour revolutions” has spread across the former Soviet Union and the Soviet block. Some countries could withstand but some others failed. What is the origin of these revolutions? What are the reasons that led to these uprisings? The article answers these and other questions. The basic reasons for these revolutions are hidden in the governments themselves, and internal contradictions, and conflict situations in the society. The best way to prevent them is to make well-thought and balanced political decisions on ruling the country.

REGIONAL ASPECTS OF THE TRANSCONTINENTAL TRANSPORT COOPERATION BETWEEN EUROPE AND ASIA STATES

The article focuses on regional aspects of the transcontinental transport cooperation between Europe and Asia states in the context of the key role that plays Russian Federation in the framework of trade delivery of the foreign goods between these two actively developing world regions. The author briefly analyzes the main directions of the Russian transport and logistics sector development and makes suggestions for its further modernization and integration into the international transport services market.
