NATIONALISM IN TRANSITION SOCIETIES: MACEDONIAN EXPERIENCE OF THE 1990s
Nationalism is one of the most influential political ideologies in the modern world. The processes of political transition, social and economic transformations, transition from authoritarianism to democracy actualize the controversial role of nationalism. The role of nationalism in transition societies varies enormously. Nationalism can act as social consolidation or fragmentation factor. Macedonian nationalism was among the most influential ideologies in the early independent Macedonia in the 1990s. The nationalism develop as predominantly political movement. Nationalism became a factor of Macedonian statehoods consolidation and strengthening.

ETHNO-POLITICAL CULTURE AS AN OBJECT OF STATE POLICY IN THE FIELD OF ETHNIC RELATIONS
The article analyses conditions and characteristics of ethno-political construction of ethno-political culture as a factor of political change. On the example of the Orenburg region, the author shows the nature of the influence of public authorities on ethno-political culture of the region and identifies possible transformation of the ethno-political culture.
